Since being bought and taken over by large group social atmosphere and movement assistance has deteriorated.

Common sense dissipating.- we are reasonably able adults not children- treat us as such. Outdoor activities all taken away.

Too many very old and frail people buying into village. Little new "young blood" coming in to get involved in committee or activities.

You may find it here at The Falls Estate Lifestyle Village. With lovely gardens and grounds well maintained by friendly Gardening Team. Village Manager and all Staff are easy to approach, kind, caring and helpful. 18 years ago I moved in here and it is the best decision I have made. Have lovely friends. Your Privacy is respected or join and enjoy the great variety of Activities, Games, Hobbies. Village Choir. Computer Club, Men Shed and much more. Sounds good? I highly recommend it!

This is a village that is to be highly recommended. Asthetically the layout, of units, apartments and delightful winding roads, and gardens individually different and all different, makes the whole village unique, and most charming. The choices in activities is outstanding - looking at other villaes calendars, this is heaps more varied and often there are 5 or 6 choices each day. No need to say there is nothing to do! The staff are always approachable, and not patronising - I feel respected

Cons

There is no separate long term nursing facility. It is difficult to keep the restuarant staffed.

We spent 3 years travelling New Zealand in a bus looking through various towns and cities where we could spend the rest of our lives. Finally we decided a Life style village would suit us well and we settled in Whangarei at the Falls Estate Village. The location with its warmer climate and easy access for our needs plus the village atmosphere and security was definitely us.
