Cons

Large weekly cost. Large current increase and little or no benefit from current increase in superannuation as a result. Picture rails should be installed to eliminate necessity to repair walls upon death or exit. Object to automatic replacement of carpet upon exit.

COST - unfairness regarding sale of unit upon exit. Charge (weekly) should stop immediately or at end of week of exit.

Requests made to the Village are usually responded to smartly. Good that a supermarket order was set up some weeks after lockdown commenced. Not all residents have family close by to do such things.

Cons

Village residents have been left to their own devises, there has been little checking on residents which means own home maybe best choice. Surely there needs to be regular contact with residents especially if the person lives alone. Poor newsletter/communication during lockdown. Can people's strengths/ lifeskills be fostered so there's not always a top down approach?

Work continues to repair from the earthquake period. A response happens soon after any request. A Village close to city with bus transport handy.

Cons

Took time for contact to be made towards Villa residents when lockdown occurred. There was no newsletter or personal contact so we were completely isolated for sometime & no shopping opportunity provided.. I made a request for a service to be available then the Management gave a contact for weekly shopping. Gardens look unloved Any activity seems difficult to establish for Villa residents, perhaps the Activity team in under resourced but there hasn't been much response to establishing anything.

Living in a Village one expects to be in a caring/communicative environment & not left on ones own. In the case of a future emergency some planning needs to be set in place re contact & opportunity for needs.

Cons

Poor introduction to Village - knowing the layout - visit to check on settling in. Suggestions to social life not well received by activities team - had their own agenda. No outdoor sports area, no garden area for residents. No GREEN bin.
