Riverdale Retirement Village located in Mangawhare, Dargaville is a small village consisting of twelve two-bedroom villas (Settler-type cottages), reflecting the "Early Settler" theme throughout the retirement village. Each villa is an early Victorian-style cottage, characterised by wide, wrap-around porches and high-pitched gable roofs, incorporating finials into the design.

Each cottage also comes with its own private, fenced garden which you can maintain, or optionally arrange for the village to look after.

Ongoing problems over maintenance and development. [edit] In my opinion Village is spoilt by one [edit] resident, who attempts to spoil the atmosphere.

Loved my cottage. It was warm, of reasonable standard as I maintained it myself, I had freedom to do my gardens as I wished, and I was allowed to have my pet with me....Read more

The village was consistently poorly run year on year by management, consistently poorly maintained ground and building overall, the promised village roads was never sealed as annually promised,

The owner will not pay his local bills for maintenance on time & disputes them. Hard to get trades people into this village.to do the work.
