Lovely position, and serviced apartments are well maintained and tastefully decorated. The Care staff try their best.

Cons

The owner and Manager have a low level of compassion and get defensive if any complaints are made. The only numbers they are concerned about is the profit. After having my mother there as a resident for 5 years, I would not recommend Chatswood Retirement Village. The new Manager doesn't have the skills to be dealing with the elderly. He hardly leaves his office and isn't familiar with the staff or residents, as he doesn't seem to care. The Owner does the talk without the walk. Not good enough.

You are dealing with loved family members who are elderly. This takes respect, compassion and for residents and family to be heard. You have failed.

Lovely facility with good individualised care options and friendly, professional staff

Cons

None really ... perhaps an extra clause in agreement when unit eventually sold (after death) giving a 6-month maximum period to be 'on the market', and then a mandatory buy-out by management.

Small but modern and very nicely appointed. Staff very professional, friendly and approachable. Different size units available.
