1. Inherited out of date, partly faulty wiring 2. The major appliance is perhaps 10 years old (maintenance on us!) 3. Deplore retention of all ultimate capital until unit is sold

Cons

Gardening could be much better.some gardens are looking ready for replacement. Bark also needs replenishing.

We are ever so lucky - we belong to a family who cares for each other, we are situate in a prime position and are unique in that we are able to access all facilities without having to go outdoors, this is particularly beneficial in the winter months and when it is raining. Our facilities are of a very high standard and are well maintained. We have a wide range of activities, particularly when it comes to sport. Our staff are wonderful, they show an interest in all we do .

Cons

Some of our food prices are a bit high for what we get.

Try and keep food prices to a minimum, one can purchase outside the village cheaper.

Cons

The constant charging residents for repairs to assets not owned by the resident. I have made and continue to make submissions to the Commissioner for financial capability in this matter

Stop charging residents for repairs and maintenance on assets in the apartments. Residents do not own the heat pump, the drier, the waste disposal unit, the kitchen rubbish bins the dishwasher etc

Location, responsive and helpful staff who have done and continue to do a great job during the current China virus lockdown.

Cons

I have no negatives regarding the Village itself and the Village management. The problem I have is with MLC head office management. No one from the CEO down has had any previous industry experience - and it shows. The are excellent at making money and very poor in relation to their connection with the residents. The Poynton was built as a lifestyle village and over the past two-three years is now somewhere between a retirement village and rest home - and that is how we are treated

The management attitude described above colours my decision regarding ay recommendation. The Village is great - head office management is wanting.
